ELECTION OF CHAIR & DEPUTY CHAIR

Directors have elected Katie Brassil as Chair and Rod Henderson as the Deputy Chair of the Committee for the Hunter Board.

Katie is an experienced company director working across industry, mining, registered clubs, entertainment industries and not-for-profit sectors. Katie has been a Director on the Committee for the Hunter Board for two years.

Committee Chair, Katie Brassil, said, “As a passionate advocate for the Hunter I understand the value of working together and the power of a united regional voice. I have lived and worked in both the Upper and Lower Hunter, am familiar with its large geographic footprint and celebrate our unique and diverse regional economy. I look forward to working with and leading a highly credentialed board and Committee for the Hunter team and collaborating with regional leaders to tackle the challenges while focusing on maximising our regions' opportunities.”

Deputy Chair Rod Henderson, Managing Director & CEO Ampcontrol, was re-elected to the Board for another term at the 2024 AGM.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be elected to the position of Deputy Chair on the Committee Board. The Committee has never been more important to the Hunter and our members play a critical role in our success. I'm eager to continue contributing my leadership to the Committee, the Hunter Region and our members, strive to make a lasting impact and support our shared goals,” said Mr Henderson.

Richard Anicich AM announced he was stepping down as Committee Chair at the 2024 AGM, while continuing to serve the remainder of his term as Director.

“It has been a privilege to have played a leading role in the establishment of the Committee, and I am proud of our impact only achieved through local leadership working together in the long-term interests of the region. I am grateful for the support I have received in this role from so many over the past seven years and for the opportunity to have been able to take this leadership role in our community,” said Mr Anicich. “I know that I have left the Committee in very capable hands with Katie and Rod and look forward to continuing to support them in their new roles”.
