Across 2025, the Committee for the Hunter continued to demonstrate the strength of a coordinated, cross-sector network committed to the long-term prosperity of the Greater Hunter.
Our membership spans the region’s largest employers and economic anchors, industry and business leaders, unions, all three levels of government, education providers and the community sector. This breadth is our strategic advantage: it allows us to join the dots across sectors, jurisdictions and geographies to advance a unified regional agenda.
The Hunter is undergoing profound transformation – from the energy transition and the shift to net zero, through to major infrastructure investment, workforce evolution and the emergence of new industries. Our advocacy this year focused on ensuring the region’s potential is realised and that change is shaped in ways that deliver lasting economic, social and sustainability outcomes for our communities.
