FEBRUARY 2025 E-NEWSLETTER
28th February 2025

At the Committee, we take great pride in our important role to advocate for the Hunter Region with a United Voice to drive real change. Our unique approach brings together views across sectors and the 10 LGAs of the Greater Hunter to identify shared priorities. If people from diverse interests and perspectives all agree on the same thing, it must be important and deserves attention.
The leadership represented on our Board and across our membership gives our advocacy real power and credibility. Extensive connections with key decision-makers provide unique access to shape policy and influence outcomes for the benefit of the Hunter. Our views, informed by you – the Committee’s valued members - get to the very highest levels of government decision making.
We continue to bring decision makers to the region on targeted tours and forums to generate better understanding of the Hunter and where we can play a stronger role in delivering local, state and national priorities.
And February has been a big one, with opportunities for all members to get involved and engage with the leaders holding the pens on reforms and projects so important to the region.
These are not just one off events; they form the basis of strong, ongoing relations that continue to deliver for this region and our communities.
The Hunter is at an inflection point, and we will need more out of this Federal election and the government that forms as a result.
