It was my delight to join new Newcastle Airport CEO Linc Horton, Chair Jude Munro AO and General Manager and also CftH Director Burcak Sezer for the much anticipated announcement on new direct flights from Newcastle to Perth.
Importantly this route opens up one-stop flights for Hunter residents and businesses to Europe and Dubai and we no longer need to crawl over three hours down the highway to Sydney for similar services.
Another milestone for Newcastle to have the airport the region deserves. These announcements are years in the making; congratulations to the NAPL team and all your strategic partners including the NSW Government, Destination Sydney Surrounds North and our friends at Perth Airport for making this happen.
You all asked for it, now it's time to walk the talk by buying tickets to sustain this service and build the case for more even more flights to other destinations.
